Fabiano Pecorelli

Fabiano Pecorelli is an Associate Professor (IINF-05/A, ex ING-INF/05 09/H1) at the Department of Science and Information Technologies, Pegaso University, Italy.

Before joining Pegaso University, he held postdoctoral research positions at the University of Salerno (Italy), Eindhoven University of Technology (the Netherlands), and Tampere University (Finland). During these tenures, he advanced his research through active participation in European research projects, cultivating international collaborations, and exploring cutting-edge areas such as quantum computing.

Dr. Pecorelli received his Bachelor’s (2016, cum laude), Master’s (2018, cum laude), and Ph.D. (2022, cum laude) in Computer Science from the University of Salerno, Italy.

His primary research interests span a range of topics, including software maintenance and evolution, software testing, empirical software engineering, social software engineering, AI and machine learning engineering, and quantum software engineering.

He is an active reviewer for leading international journals in software engineering, such as IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, ACM Transactions on Software Engineering and Methodology, and Empirical Software Engineering.
