Carmela Di Guida

Carmela Di Guida is a research fellow at the Department of Science and Information Technologies, Pegaso University, Italy. She is a business economist and holds a PhD in Innovation and Management of Public Resources from the University of Molise.

Before the doctorate she collaborated, as holder of a research scholarship, with the Pegaso Telematic University and with the Parthenope University of Naples, where he also assumed contract teaching positions on “Elements of corporate governance and financial reporting”. After her doctorate, she continued to collaborate with the University of Molise as a research fellow, deepening her studies on corporate governance and on the relationship between management policies and business performance. She has been a research fellow at UniCamillus in Rome, continuing to specialize in studies on corporate structures, governance and business performance.

Author of several publications on corporate governance issues, particularly with reference to the relationship between Board independence and voluntary financial disclosure, she was also a Member of the “Conference Editorial Committee” and “Organizing Committee” of the International Conference “New Challenges in Corporate Governance: Theory and practice” organized by the University of Naples “Parthenope,” La Sapienza University and Virtus Global Center for Corporate Governance.
