Andrea Generosi

Andrea Generosi is a Tenured Assistant Professor (subject area IINF-05/A, ex ING-INF/05  09/H1, Information processing systems) at the Department of Science and Information Technologies, Pegaso University, Italy.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Computer and Automation Engineering and a PhD in Industrial Engineering, both from the Università Politecnica delle Marche (Ancona, Italy).

His research focuses on Deep Learning, Affective Computing, and Extended Reality, with an emphasis on user-centered solutions for industries. Specifically, his work has recently been focused in tackling real-world challenges related to ergonomics in manufacturing and automotive safety, contributing to innovative approaches in human-machine interaction.

He has published on different international journals and conference proceedings about AI methodologies applied across various domains and he is part of the editorial board as Section editor (Machine Learning section) for the International Journal of Sensors, Wireless Communications and Control journal. In addition, he organizes specialized sessions at the international conference HCI International. Beyond academia, he co-founded the startup and ex university spin-off Emoj s.r.l., where he leads the development of AI-based solutions and manages collaborative research projects.

Finally, he is owner and inventor of the Italian Patent no. 102019000006020 and the International Patent PCT/IB2020/054078, and inventor of the Italian Patent no. 102020000029432, which provides a computer-implemented method for ergonomic evaluation of workers’ postures.
